ConverLight® Dynamic – An Intelligent Control System
Simple and seamless
The technology behind ConverLight® Dynamic and its control system may be advanced, but we’ve made life very simple for installers and property managers. Through a cloud-based solution, the glass can be adjusted wirelessly and autonomously, eliminating the need for extensive wiring and significantly reducing installation costs. This provides effortless management of climate control in buildings via computer, smartphone, or tablet.
In environments such as offices, schools, or hospitals, where sunlight can cause overheating and discomfort, ConverLight® Dynamic divides individual windows or entire facades into distinct sections. This allows for precise control over light flow and energy intake in different areas of the building. As a result, solar protection and heat control can be optimised throughout the entire property, enhancing both comfort and energy efficiency.
INTELLIGENT LIGHT AND HEAT MANAGEMENT
ConverLight® Dynamic windows and facade glass adapt seamlessly to daylight and solar radiation, optimizing indoor climate and energy efficiency. The system can be controlled in several ways:
Integrated with the building's existing building management system (BMS)
Automatically based on light conditions and predefined zones
Cloud, via computer, smartphone, or tablet
SMART COMMERCIAL
The Smart Commercial System uses ConverLight Control Units (CCUs) that communicate wirelessly with a central Gateway. Each CCU can control up to four glass units, allowing for straightforward, electrician-free installation. Light sensors positioned on each façade or zone provide input for automatic tinting, which is managed via the ConverLight Cloud or integrated with a Building Management System (BMS). The system is scalable and flexible, with seamless integration with building management systems or other control platforms.
AUTONOMOUS WINDOW
The Autonomous Window is our fully self-powered solution with an integrated solar cell, making it ideal for projects that prioritise simplicity and sustainability. Operating independently of external control systems and power sources, it delivers the same dynamic tinting performance as other ConverLight® products. Submerged or surface-mounted solar-powered kit versions are available, offering flexibility for different window frame designs.
ENERGY EFFICIENT
ConverLight® Dynamic glass only consumes power when the light transmission of the glass is adjusted, making it exceptionally energy-efficient. With a very low operating voltage, the energy required to switch from light to dark mode is only 0.05W/m². This ultra-low energy consumption enables fully wireless installations, where glass units are powered by integrated solar cells without external power sources.
EASY INTEGRATION
The control system is compatible with standardized automation solutions and can be configured to meet specific building requirements. It is built using industry-standard components and complies with EMC standard EN 6000-6 and product safety standard EN 60950.
