ConverLight® – The World’s Brightest Dynamic Glass
Solar shading for properties has long involved compromises. Traditional blinds completely block the view, while static solar control glass often leaves windows overly dark. Even dynamic glass has had limitations, typically allowing around 50% light transmission at its brightest. But that’s changed. With a new configuration, ConverLight® Dynamic admits over 80% daylight at its brightest setting – establishing itself as a global leader.
A Unique Glass Solution
ConverLight® can be tailored with various glass types to meet specific light transmission and energy efficiency requirements. By using a specialised configuration of insulated glass units (IGUs), ChromoGenics’ technical team has achieved a combination that allows exceptionally high light transmission with effective solar shading. This breakthrough enables over 80% light transmittance at peak brightness, providing an impressive flow of natural light that conventional dynamic and static solar control glass can’t match.
Optimised Daylight and Views
By adapting its tint to the sun’s intensity, ConverLight® offers solar protection and abundant natural light.
This allows workplaces to maximise daylight while reducing energy use by minimising the need for cooling, heating, and artificial lighting. The technology is also ideal for specialised industries like commercial cruise ships and yachts, where trials are currently underway.
But the advantages aren’t just economic or technical. Architects and lighting designers now have greater freedom to create bright, open spaces with stunning views, all while meeting modern standards for daylight and energy efficiency. Access to daylight and views in the workplace is an increasingly important consideration—and in many European countries, a regulated requirement for new office designs.
An Investment in Tomorrow’s Workplace
Studies indicate that natural light significantly improves health and productivity in work environments. Adequate daylight enhances focus and well-being, especially in modern office spaces where natural light and views can be limited. By delivering high levels of daylight and advanced solar protection, ConverLight® offers not only an aesthetically pleasing solution but also an investment in employees’ well-being.
“Offering the market a dynamic glass with 80% light transmission is not just a technical breakthrough – it’s a big step toward creating high-functioning workplaces in healthcare, education, and office spaces. You could say the future looks bright – and with ConverLight®, it just got brighter.”
