NSG Group to Introduce HomeComfort Range – Powered by ChromoGenics ConverLight® Dynamic
NSG Group, the global glass manufacture known for its Pilkington brand, will introduce its new HomeComfort range at this year’s Glasstec 2024, October 22 to 25 at Messe Düsseldorf. A major highlight of this launch is that parts of the HomeComfort range features ConverLight® Dynamic technology from ChromoGenics – a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.
For several years, ChromoGenics has been working together with NSG Group to develop dynamic glass solutions for the energy-efficient buildings of the future. This collaboration has now resulted in the integration of ConverLight® Dynamic foil into NSG’s HomeComfort range, allowing the glass products to adjust light transmission and heat regulation to optimize indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
"As remote working becomes more common, creating a home environment that balances comfort and efficiency has never been more important"
– Alderlan Vitalino, Global VA and Marketing Director Europe Architectural Glass SBU.
Among the HomeComfort products is DynamicComfort, a dynamic glass solution that uses ChromoGenics' electrochromic film to actively adjust the glass tint in response to sunlight. DynamicComfort is a key part of NSG’s vision to offer products that are both aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient. With ConverLight® Dynamic technology, the glass reduces the need for both heating and cooling by actively controlling solar heat gain, thereby minimizing energy consumption.
"The collaboration with NSG Group, a world leader in architectural glass, is a major step for us. Seeing our ConverLight® Dynamic technology become part of the HomeComfort range showcases the potential for dynamic glass to one day become a standard in sustainable building"
– Fredrik Fränding, CEO of ChromoGenics.
